Jonathan Fanning

 

Jonathan Fanning helps organizations and individuals reach their full potential and is the author of several books, including Who are you BECOMING?  Through keynote speaking, training workshops, coaching, and consulting, Jonathan works to create excellence within companies, teams and organizations that are not willing to settle for “good enough.”

Andrew S. Harris

Andrew S. Harris is an associate at Andrews Myers, P.C. located in the Austin, Texas office. He attended the University of Connecticut (B.A., 2003) and Stetson University College of Law (J.D., 2013). Mr. Harris focuses on advocating for general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and owners on a variety of construction-related issues including litigation, contract negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Harris has experience with construction defects, delay and acceleration claims, lien and bond claims, payment disputes, termination claims, commercial lease issues, and surety claims. Mr. Harris has also drafted and negotiated a variety of construction contracts, including prime contracts, design contracts, and subcontracts. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Harris worked for a roofing contractor, estimating and managing projects throughout the Midwest and Texas. A former collegiate baseball player, Mr. Harris is also the co-founder and a current board member of RBI Austin, a 501(c)(3) which mentors over 1,400 at-risk children and teens in East Austin and surrounding communities.

As a partner in Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC’s Albuquerque office, Bobbi works with a variety of closely-held businesses, with an emphasis on clients in the construction industry, including general and heavy construction, subcontractors, homebuilders and 8(a) contractors. She provides expertise in financial statement planning, tax planning, strategic business planning, and construction accounting software applications.  As well as being a Certified Public Accountant, Bobbi is also a CCIFP-Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, CFE-Certified Fraud Examiner, CVA-Certified Valuation Analyst, and CEPA-Certified Exit Planning Advisor.

 

Professional Activities

Bobbi has led seminars on the use of technology for contractors, construction cost structure, business exit planning, business strategic planning, fraud prevention and other matters for national organizations and local construction contractor professional organizations.  She also co-teaches Advanced Construction Topics annually for Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC’s internal firm-wide continuing professional education program.  Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC is a top twenty CPA firm operating across ten states.

 

Bobbi has spent much of her career helping New Mexico’s construction community. Currently serving on the national CPA Advisory Council for the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, she also serves on the local boards of Associated Builders and Contractors of New Mexico, Associated Contractors of New Mexico, and the NM Energy Manufacturing Institute.  She is a past Chairman of the Associate-Affiliate division of the New Mexico Building Branch, Associated General Contractors, a past President of the Santa Fe chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction and a founding member of the Construction Program Advisory Council to the University of New Mexico.

Scott A. Humphrey, CPA
Partner- BKD

 

Scott is a member of BKD National Construction & Real Estate Group and BKD National Manufacturing & Distribution Group.  He serves corporate and individual clients in the construction, real estate, manufacturing, distribution, software and retail industries.  His technical knowledge includes tax planning and compliance, including multistate compliance and accounting method strategies.  Scott has led various internal and external presentations and training sessions on the tangible property regulations and currently serves as a firmwide resource on the subject.

 

Prior to moving to the Dallas BKD office, he served as a national tax assistant director in BKD’s National Office.  In this role, he performed tax consultations and quality control reviews with the firm’s offices and trained personnel on common firm approaches, including standardized tax workpapers, technology tools, new tax laws and regulatory procedures.

 

Scott is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs and Indiana CPA Society and past treasurer for the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington.

David Pierce
Director, Technology and Management Consulting- RSM US LLP

 

David is a director within the technology and management consulting practice in the San Antonio office of RSM. He focuses on providing guidance on a great diversity of technology disciplines, including virtualization, server hardware, wireless, Active Directory and group policy best practices, mobile device management, cloud and managed services, local area network/wide area network design, storage area network and storage, datacenter power and cooling analysis, business continuity and disaster recovery, and hyperconverged infrastructure.

Greg Schoppman

Principal and Florida Consulting Manager- FMI

 

As a principal with FMI, Gregg specializes in the areas of productivity and project management. He also leads FMI’s project management consulting practice. He also leads the consulting management group of FMI’s Florida office.

 

Prior to joining FMI, Gregg served as a senior project manager for a general contracting firm in central Florida. He has completed complex and sophisticated construction projects in the several different niches and geographic markets. He has also worked as a construction manager and managed direct labor. Furthermore, Gregg has expertise in numerous contract delivery methods.

 

Gregg was named one of the Top 25 Consultants of 2014 by Consulting Magazine, receiving the highest number of nominations for that year’s recipient group. Additionally, he was a two-time finalist for the Association of Management Consulting Firms award for “Change Management” in 2012 and 2013. Gregg has been a guest speaker for the ABC, AGC, IFMA, DBIA, NECA and CFMA. He has been the Gulf Coast Director of the Design Build Institute of America function and regularly speaks to students in the civil engineering graduate school program at the University of Florida. Gregg has also spoken to similar groups around the state of Florida.

 

He has successfully completed project management and productivity implementation engagements for general and trade contractors across the country. In addition to his implementation engagements, Gregg facilitates strategic planning and evaluation services focused on organizational transformation. Wilson Stoker
Employment Law- Cokinos

 

Wilson Stoker is an employment law counselor who is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  Wilson has broad experience representing employers nationwide in a wide range of employment lawsuits in state and Federal courts in Texas and throughout the United States.  Wilson has counseled businesses on legal issues related to hiring, promotion, discipline and termination decisions, and defended businesses in litigation involving FMLA, ADA, FLSA, wage and hour, Title VII harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, as well as state law claims.  Wilson has worked with numerous employers to successfully defend DOL, EEOC and TWC complaints and investigations.

 

Wilson’s experience extends to litigation avoidance; and he frequently conducts workplace training and provides compliance assistance to employers on day-to-day employment issues such as workplace investigations, handbook policies and general counsel advice.  He drafts and reviews non-disclosure, non-compete and executive employment agreements for compliance with federal, state and local laws.  In addition, he has particular experience assisting government contractors with all aspects of OFCCP affirmative action compliance including developing and maintaining affirmative action plans and related audits.
